Eija Stewart
Eija Stewart is a Clinical Psychologist, with over 30 years experience in counselling, clinical and coaching psychology. She is passionate about facilitating changes and insights which enable individuals to make positive changes in their lives, to reach their goals, and to assist them to live richer, healthier and more fulfilling lives. Eija is very aware that each person she sees has unique needs, and hence requires individually tailored therapy for their particular circumstances. Eija brings vast work and life experience; a high degree of professionalism and commitment; compassion and warmth; and an ongoing love of learning to her work.
Eija is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (APHRA), with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. She has also completed specialist coaching qualifications.
Eija is authorized to provide Clinical Psychology services under the Medicare Better Access Scheme. She is a registered provider with The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA), and periodically accepts referrals for Victims Services. She also does Telehealth, including for those affected by recent bushfires.
Eija has worked across a wide range of clinical areas in the public sector; and in private practice for over 20 years.
Eija has extensive experience in the provision of evidence based psychological interventions- including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness- based approaches (ie. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Schema Therapy, Psychological Coaching, and Positive Psychology.
