Fees

Note: COVID-19 Medicare items are currently bulk billed.

The current fee is $210.00. per session, with the recommended rate set by the Australian Psychological Society being $252.00 per session. Lowered rates and/or bulk billing may be available for concession card holders and those experiencing financial difficulty.

Medicare Rebates

Eija is a registered Medicare provider for Clinical Psychology services. If you have a referral from your GP (or Psychiatrist) under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Programme you will receive a current rebate of $126. 50 per session for seeing a Clinical Psychologist, for ten sessions per calendar year. If you are over the Medicare Safety Net limit you will receive an additional 80% rebate of the gap fee. Telehealth for remote rural locations is also available- with people affected by bushfires being bulk billed for these services.

Private Health Fund Rebates

Most private Health funds provide rebates if you have ancillary (“extras”) cover. Rebates, however, vary between funds so it is advisable to contact your heath fund directly for specific information about what rebates you are entitled to, including any special conditions that may apply.
