In case of emergency
In case of emergency please contact your GP or your nearest Local Area Mental Health Team. The Northern Beaches Adult Mental Health Acute Care Extended Hours Team (EHT) provides mobile mental health crisis intervention and support to people living in the Manly, Warringah and Pittwater Municipalities who require urgent or intensive mental health assistance. It is available for people aged 18-65.The team can be accessed via the Manly Hospital Switch Board on 9976 9611. You need to inform the operator that you wish to speak with the service. You will be asked for your name and telephone number and a Clinician will return your call.
You can also call the Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511. This line is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be able to speak with a clinician who can provide recommendations about how to manage the situation or put you in contact with the appropriate mental health team.
In urgent cases you can attend the Emergency Department of your nearest Hospital where there is 24 hour access to specialist mental health care and support.
If the situation is becoming dangerous ring Triple Zero (000) and request ambulance and/or police.
